As the year comes to a close, our Champs pause to reflect on the moments, lessons, and growth that shaped their journey. Through questions and a fill-in-the-blanks ending, they look back on the past year while setting their sights on 2026.
What's one moment from 2025 that made you proud to be a RED Champ and why?
Michelle: The Red Gifts A Stick event. Being part of this supportive initiative and hearing the awardees’ passion and hard work made me excited for the future of Singapore’s floorball.
Haris: Coming back from an injury just three months before the SEA Games. Pushing through that challenge showed resilience and commitment, values I believe in. It was tough mentally and physically, but with support from friends and family, I made it through.
Ethan Wong: I would say the most recent SEA Games was a great example of a time when I was proud to be a Red Champ. Although we did not manage to win the gold, I’m proud of myself and the team for fighting in every game and giving our all until the very end. Even though we came up short against Thailand and the Philippines, I felt the hunger and determination from the team and my teammates.

Darwish: I think one of the proudest moments of being a Red Champ is having the support from all the Champs, and even those behind the scenes, to stay motivated and keep going. This year wasn’t just full of floorball, but also other aspects of life, especially starting and embarking on a new phase in life and beginning a career.
Imma: During the Special Jio event, we were able to meet young players and simply enjoy playing floorball with them and each other. It reminded me of the joy and community spirit in the sport, and how important it is to inspire the next generation.
Gerald: One moment was the day my A-Levels ended. The feeling of getting through the toughest part of balancing studies and floorball was incredible, and it made me proud as I had overcome a huge obstacle. It made me feel like a Champ in my own unique way.
Ethan Teoh: There wasn’t a specific moment when I was proud to be a Red Champ, but honestly, I feel proud all the time. I truly cherish the time spent with my fellow Champs, sharing experiences, supporting each other, and reliving our moments together. That sense of community and belonging makes me proud every day.
Issac: Proud of playing in the Premier League final and winning it. I couldn’t play last year, so finally getting the chance to contribute and be part of the victory was an amazing feeling. It reminded me how much hard work and perseverance pay off.

If you could relive one game or training session from this year, which would it be - and why?
Michelle: It would be the game against Finland at the World Games back in August. Although it was a tough loss, we finally had the chance to face world-class players whom I look up to on the global stage. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience and an honour. #Suomi![]()

Haris: The Premier League final. The game went to extra time and penalties, and it was my first match back after injury. The energy and morale in Orion were unreal, with everyone locked in and supporting each other. Moments like that remind me why I play floorball.

Ethan Wong: My biggest goal for my floorball career in 2026 is to sharpen my tactical understanding, continue developing my body, and improve my speed and athletic abilities. As a person, my goal is to strive for excellence in all that I do.
Darwish: Singapore vs South Korea at the AOFC Cup. We were losing until the last period and finally managed to come back. I also scored two goals and won the MOTM award during the game. This match decided whether we would play for third or fourth place or advance to the finals. We eventually made it to the finals and won the championship.

Imma: I would relive the final WFCQ game against New Zealand for fifth place because it was such a tight match, and I scored the golden goal. It was also the first time my family watched me play for the Philippines live, so performing well in front of them made it extra special and unforgettable.
Gerald: It would be the AOFC final that we won against Thailand. Fighting until the final whistle, after completing a comeback to win the gold medal for Singapore, was one of the best feelings I’ve ever had, and I would love to relive it.
Ethan Teoh: It would be the AOFC Cup final against Thailand. It was one of the rare finals I’ve played in, and experiencing it alongside my national team teammates made it even more memorable. The intensity, atmosphere, and pride of representing Singapore in such a big game are feelings I’ll never forget.
